the origins of Russophobia

Russophobia is a pathological fear and hatred that has the character of a mental problem and the corresponding clinical manifestations. This is a complex historical phenomenon, generated by a long-term geopolitical and civilizational goal setting for the elimination of [Ancient] Rus and Russia and regular failures in achieving this goal. This is the hatred of the barbarians for the ancient civilization. It is pointless to fight Western Russophobia, trying to change, i.e. improve the «image» of Russia, the «reputation» of our country, since the Russophobic argument itself is irrational and is an internal justification for a strategic failure, the failure of numerous campaigns to the east. Strictly speaking, it is not addressed to us. This is a conversation of eurobarbarians with themselves.

Until the aim of destroying Russia is abolished, Russophobia cannot disappear, nor can it be cured. This does not mean, of course, that there is no need to expose «myths about Russians.» But one must understand that those who have adopted the Western position against Russia as against an enemy and competitor, at the same time unconditionally agree with the myth of the natural superiority of the West, with fundamental Western racism — the common denominator of all Western nationalisms. And racism is not cured by reasoning. It is eradicated by victory and punishment.

The basis of Russophobia lies in the fact that Russia has not been conquered and subjugated, which the Western consciousness does not accept — [so] “forces out” [it], as a psychoanalyst would say. The “civilized” master did not civilize by force (only in this way do real barbarians imagine things) — i.e. did not rape and, therefore, did not teach, did not correct — i.e. did not mutilate, did not «fertilize» the inert material that is the «barbarians» (i.e., truly civilized people) living to the east of Poland and Austria-Hungary. From this fact, a direct conclusion is drawn about the obvious uncivilization of the unconquered. Western Europeans do not know another version of civilization, since they themselves, being barbarians, were taught by the Romans in this very way — under duress, through slavery. Russophobia is needed, first of all, in order to change civilization and barbarism in places.

It is regrettable that the dispute between Slavophiles and Westerners about the superiority of the Western or Russian paths of historical development has become a channel for broadcasting Western myth and propaganda through both participants in the dispute. The very idea of superiority is flawed.

The main thesis of any Russophobia is the accusation of Russia in the absence of freedom and rights. All other theses about «Russian barbarism» are based on this foundation. In fact, the Russian state stood on the foundations of justice, that is, a deeper idea than law. Justice is an order that its participants themselves are ready to maintain and preserve. Law formally performs the function of justice when it is no longer available to society, but law already requires coercion. It is enough just to read Russkaya Pravda to appreciate its power of just persuasion in comparison with legal coercion.

Western civilization abandoned the idea of justice twice before it returned in the guise of socialism. Rome, moving away from the principles of justice, created its own Roman law. The second time the principle of justice was rejected by the West at the exit from the «dark ages» — the millennium of the united Church of Christ, at the turn of the XI-XII centuries, along with the refusal to build the «City of God on Earth». This civilizational breakdown corresponds to the beginning of the reception of Roman law in Western Europe. And the birth of the Russian people in the act of Baptism of Russia. There is nothing surprising in the fact that Western Europe sought to reproduce the Roman order. There was simply no other culture for her. The ideology of replacing justice with law has dominated the minds of Western civilization to this day.

In the same way — liberally, in the negative sense of «from«, not «for» — the idea of freedom was realized. Freedom, equality and fraternity as meaningful concepts — in the original Christian understanding — have not been comprehended by the West. Christian freedom is «for» [something], not «from» [something], and certainly not for trade.

Christian brotherhood — in God — excludes racism, which pervades the Western European worldview with its obligatory division of the world into civilization and barbarians (despite the fact that europeans are are themselves the barbarians). But this disengagement is for the West the main ideology of conquest, subjugation and domination. Christian equality is in God and before God, it overcomes any material inequality of people.

After the fall of Byzantium, the Russian Orthodox monarchy remained the only bearer of the idea of justice in the world as real social harmony and stability, as well as freedom, equality and fraternity in the original Christian sense. Later this idea will be included in the Russian communist project. This does not mean that the law has been denied. It is necessary. But in the USSR it was not used to displace justice as a general idea of the state structure, as a blessing. Therefore, having solved the problem of historical survival, having strengthened itself internally, Russia has become not only a serious geopolitical, but also a civilizational competitor to the West. A competitor that the West has already destroyed once in the form of the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantium). And intends to destroy again.
